Some photos from 23. Oberrheinischer Narrentag in Lahr, from Narrenumzug. Forgot to put them earlier, but it doesn’t stop me to put them out now. Because the winter, who should be scared away by Narrens, only leaved lately, well at least here in Lahr it’s already looks like spring. This year winter is really 
stubborn…

23. Oberrheinischer Narrentag in Lahr (Narrenumzug)

Fasnacht and Narrentag it’s all about costumes, masks, humor and fun. It’s the way people scare away winter and have really fun. Fasnacht is full of jokes, pranks, nothing can be taken serious, Narren (the ones in costumes) can say anything about anyone. From German language Narren means a bit crazy, foolish, someone like a joker or a jester.

I think the main reason why children love Narrentag it’s for the candy, that Narren are throwing around. Also it’s nice to see children as small Narrens, the next generation.
